Adam Raitanen discovered the sound of hardcore techno in the summer of 1999. A local DJ named Jorah Kai played the most fast and furious sets imaginable and Adam had to find out more about this insanely beautiful music. Several months later, exT was born. His first few years were spent researching the music from accross the ocean, building a network of contacts around the world, and building one of the largest collections of Hardcore records in Canada.
exT decided to expose his hometown of Ottawa, Canada to the gabber sound for the first time at a local event called Ground Zero. The response was deffinite. The energy of this music was in demand and things were only getting started.
In 2005, exT started Spekulum Records, an on-line digital label, and is credited with it's first release. He has spread the gabber sound across Canada and the United States, sub-headlining the World Electronic Music Festival hardcore stage in 2004, 2005, and 2008. He has also shared the line-up with such hardcore heavyweights as DJ Promo, Omar Santana, Rob Gee, Lenny Dee, Scott Brown, Delta 9, DJ Mad Dog, Radium, and Ophidian.
exT is showing no signs of slowing down, and is looking forward to new productions, collaborations, live events, and much much more...
